This is a really exciting role for a Graduate, Account Manager OR experienced sales engineer to join a superb niche engineering company at their new modern site in Bradford. This superb company is based in West Yorkshire servicing customers throughout the UK and overseas. You will need to be confident, articulate and organised with a great commercial acumen. This is a super opportunity to join an ever-expanding business and team in a great fast-paced environment.
Purpose of the role
- To provide expert selection advice for bespoke client project design requirements
- To develop and provide a detailed technical schedule, including cost proposals utilising the company's selection software
- To work with Engineering in providing value engineered, compliant solutions
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide the highest level of technical support and advise to clients on a range of product solutions
- Define customer requirements and recommend engineered product design solutions
- Respond to inbound project enquiries and provide bespoke quotations
- Provide project quotation proposals including all relevant documentation to the customer utilising the companies SAP sales CRM system
- Liaise between the customer and internal departments for end‑to‑end project support
- Contact existing and potential clients to promote both exiting and newly launched product solutions
- Manage and follow up on project quotations in order to maximise conversion rates
- Work collaboratively with Key Account Managers to provide a value‑added quotation for each customer project requirement
- Provide market intelligence and feedback on competitor product and pricing activity
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required
- Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering desired but not essential
- Highly motivated with a pro‑active approach
- Ability to learn new processes and retain knowledge
- Customer focused with excellent communication and organisation skills
- A strong team player
- Ability to work efficiently under own initiative, prioritise own workload
- Computer literate (SAP, ERP, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint…)
