We\’re looking for a passionate and motivated individual to take on the role of deputy manager.
About the Role
As a deputy with Farplace Animal Rescue you\’ll play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our charity shop. You\’ll assist in running the shop smoothly, provide cover when needed and help us maximize the impact of our charity\’s mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Shop Manager and with daily operations and running the store in their absence.
- Completing end of day cashing up and weekly cash reconciliation.
- Assisting with the training and supervision of volunteers.
- Delivering excellent customer service to shop visitors.
- Helping with stock processing, sorting donations, and merchandising.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming shop environment.
- Acting as a keyholder and ensuring shop security as required.
What We\’re Looking For
- Previous retail or charity shop experience
- A team player with strong communication and leadership skills.
- Enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to supporting the shop\’s success. Willing to work some weekends.
- Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse group of volunteers.
- A keen eye for detail and an interest in retail presentation.
- Understanding of the values and goals of a charity organisation.
