Farol Ltd is an extremely successful family-owned, multisite agricultural and groundcare business. Established in 1977 and now employing over 275 people, we are the market leaders in agriculture, groundcare and homeowner products, holding the market leading John Deere franchise along with many other brands.

We are currently looking for a Used Equipment Sales Specialist to join our Head Office Agricultural Sales department. The key purpose of the role is to assist with managing the sales and marketing strategies of our used equipment (UE) business.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Supporting the creation and maintenance of the UE policies on pricing, evaluation, purchasing and managing inventory
  • Providing information and recommendations on the appropriate market value
  • Ensuring that UE will be prepared, revised, displayed and advertised in a timely manner
  • May demonstrate machines to potential customers
  • Maintaining professional UE display and communication of what is available and in a saleable condition
  • Supporting the identification of new UE customers
  • Attending marketing activities such as trade shows and events
  • Assisting with logistics including import and export
  • Ensuring trade-in machines are collected on time, match the appraisal form and have all relevant attachments and accessories included
  • Proposing and recommending changes and improvements to the group used equipment manager as appropriate

The Ideal Candidate:

The successful candidate will be a forward-thinking individual with knowledge of modern agricultural machinery, farming practices and Precision Ag technology. It is also essential that you have excellent IT skills so you can embrace and benefit from our new CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.

This job is office based at our Head Office (OX9 2NZ) with occasional travel around the group when required. Hours of work are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings on a rota basis (usually 1 in 4).
