About The Role
We currently have a vacancy for an IT Manager, based at our Head Office just outside Thame. Your role will be to oversee all IT related activity across the business – coordinating all areas of technology‑related product/service selection, set‑up, support, communications and data protection in order to enable employees to efficiently complete work. You will assure up‑to‑date, effective hardware and software applications are in place and employees are properly trained in their use. This is an office based role.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing the IT systems, including all hardware, software, infrastructure, and telecommunications systems ensuring high availability and stability.
- Ensure appropriate lifecycle management.
- Collaborating with all levels of management in the business to support business and digital transformation to meet the aims of their business plan.
- Maintaining and improving cyber security and relevant accreditations critical to the integrity and reputation of the business.
- Working with Finance Department to establish the annual IT budget.
- Coordinating the purchase of new technology solutions including computers, servers, cell phones, software, mobile solutions etc.
- Administration of all user IDs and passwords, grants authorization to systems and applications as appropriate, leads Authorization Management (AMT).
- Safeguarding dealership technology systems, password, and network access policies but also data’s by assuring timely back‑ups and processing.
- Coordinating the installation and set‑up of all new equipment, software updates such as JD Quote, Service ADVISOR, PM‑Pro, DPM, and Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Providing IT support to employees in all locations by prioritising, troubleshooting and resolving problems quickly and providing training accordingly.
- Supporting the development of the Dealership’s Website.
- Coordinating relationship with DMS provider and John Deere to address open issues and communicate requirements.
- Coordinating relationship with external IT and Communication providers to ensure Dealer compliance on IT and Communication requirements such as anti‑virus update, network administration, disaster recovery plan, internet access.
- Responsibility for GDPR.
About You
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with all areas of IT – hardware/software/cyber security.
- Experience with routers, servers, and network technology.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to train others on technology solutions.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
About The Benefits
Highly competitive annual salary of £45,000 – £60,000 dependent on experience, 20 days holiday increasing by 1 day for each completed year of service up to a maximum of 25 days (plus Bank Holidays), company pension, employee discount schemes, employee wellbeing and financial planning service, cycle to work scheme.
