We have positions for technicians of all levels, including:
- Workshop-based Service Technicians
- Mobile Service Technicians
- Workshop based PDI/Refurb Technicians
These positions would suit individuals from a variety of mechanical backgrounds - as long as you are a skilled technician and have an interest in transferring your skills to an exciting and different industry, that’s all you need!
In partnership with John Deere, we can put you through our accelerated Technician training scheme, which aims to get you up and running as a fully-fledged, certified John Deere technician within 12–18 months. This involves a combination of on-the-job learning, in-house classroom/workshop-based learning with Farol’s Certified John Deere instructor and product training at John Deere’s specialist training centre in Nottingham.
We can also assist with relocation for the right candidates!
Do you offer Apprenticeships/technician training schemes?
Yes, we do! Farol are the only John Deere dealership in the UK to offer the “John Deere Diploma” – a bespoke 2-year training course run very similarly to an Apprenticeship. The majority of your time is spent in the workshop/out with technicians with up to 8 weeks a year spent at college for formal training, provided by John Deere/Pro VQ, our learning provider.
How much will I earn?
Trainee Positions (John Deere Diploma scheme) – Starting salary of £20k to £26k increasing to £31k upon completion of the 2-year scheme. Workshop based Technicians – basic salary of up to £35k plus overtime and generous incentive scheme (quarterly bonus and commission). OTE in excess of £40k. Mobile Diagnostic Technicians – basic salary of up to £42k plus overtime and generous Technician incentive scheme (quarterly bonus and commission). OTE earnings in excess of £55k.
