We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Centralised Parts department at our Milton Common Head Office. You will play a key role within the team, using our industry leading systems and tools to deliver a first class service to both internal and external customers. Working as a member of our Centralised Parts team, your role will be to handle incoming parts enquiries and proactive sales for all 7 depots, supporting customers (both internal and external) efficiently and accurately. Your main priority is ensuring our customer service levels meet our customers' needs whilst maintaining a first class standard of service at all times.
Your Key Responsibilities Will Be To:
- Manage incoming calls and digital enquiries, ensuring all customer requests are handled promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and process parts quotations and orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve retail customers at the counter, delivering a high standard of customer service.
- Identify and supply correct parts using manufacturer catalogues and internal systems.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to source parts and resolve queries.
- Proactively develop retail parts sales through customer engagement and upselling.
- Support the smooth operation of the centralised parts function, contributing to team performance targets.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the Agricultural/Groundcare/Plant industries, either in a mechanical/technical position or as a Parts Advisor. However, Parts Advisors from other industries will also be considered.
We Are Looking for Someone with the Following Key Skills & Attributes:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle customer enquiries professionally across telephone, email and digital channels.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment with the ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload.
- Confident in dealing with both retail counter customers and remote enquiries within a centralised team.
- Agricultural, groundcare or plant product knowledge would be advantageous.
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to generating sales and maximising upselling opportunities.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly when processing quotations, orders and payments.
- Good IT skills with confidence using multiple systems simultaneously.
About the Package:
Basic salary in the region of £30,000 to £34,000 dependent on experience, 20 days holiday increasing by 1 day for each completed year of service up to a maximum of 25 days (plus Bank Holidays), company pension, employee discount schemes, employee wellbeing and financial planning service, cycle to work scheme.
Hours of Work:
8 am – 5 pm/5:30 pm Monday to Friday plus Saturday mornings on a rota basis.
