Farnham Castle is a unique, historic, multi-award-winning Wedding and Events venue on the Surrey/Hampshire border, hosting outstanding weddings, private events, conferences and meetings, with an exceptional reputation for delivering outstanding dining experiences.

Farnham Castle is looking for a Weddings Sales and Events Manager to join an energetic team to help sell and deliver weddings and events at this stunning venue, making the Weddings and Events Manager position an important, interesting, varied and satisfying role.

General Requirements for the role

  • Demonstrate a clear knowledge and understanding of weddings and events
  • Able to prioritise effectively to plan and fulfil appropriate sales activities
  • Confident at show-rounds and client meetings with the commercial ability to generate revenue and deliver client expectations
  • Excellent presentation, communication and organisational skills
  • Good time management skills and the ability to multi task effectively
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with other team members
  • Calm under pressure
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with clients

Computer literate (Microsoft applications) with knowledge of database management systems preferred

Professional requirements

  • Professional and appropriate personal presentation, face to face and telephone manner
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing
  • Personal drive and positive approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Passion for delivering excellent standards of hospitality – for managing weddings, events and functions
  • Ability to flex around business hours
  • Willingness to work extended hours and at weekends, as required

Experience

  • Face to face client experience is preferred
  • Previous experience in event and wedding coordination is preferred
  • Hospitality industry experience desirable but not essential

Salary 45 hrs pw – Starting Β£32,000 pa

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Β£32,000.00-Β£37,000.00 per year
