We’re on the lookout for our next exceptional Host at Foxhill Manor! Welcome to Foxhill Manor, our five AA Red Star private house hotel set within the stunning Farncombe Estate. With just eight bedrooms and suites, Foxhill offers a truly personal experience — where every guest feels like they’re staying in their own Cotswold country home. No reception desk. No formality. Just indulgent, relaxed hospitality at its very best.

We’re looking for a warm, intuitive, and highly organised Host to join our close-knit team. This is a role of many hats — you’ll be the first face guests see when they arrive and their go-to person throughout their stay. One moment you’ll be mixing cocktails or serving dinner, the next helping with luggage, chauffeuring guests across the estate, or arranging the perfect dinner reservation. No two days (or evenings) are the same, and that’s exactly what makes it special.

You’ll be the person who:

  • Anticipates guests’ every need and takes care of every detail from arrival to departure
  • Works closely with our chefs, housekeeping, and front-of-house teams to deliver seamless five-star service
  • Serves food, drinks, and fine wines with flair and confidence
  • Offers concierge-style service — arranging plans, making reservations, and driving guests across the estate when needed
  • Provides a genuine, personal touch that makes guests feel at home

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working in a luxury or boutique hospitality setting
  • Confident hosting guests with high expectations — always one step ahead
  • Knowledge and appreciation of fine wines and exceptional food
  • A natural communicator who is warm, adaptable, and calm under pressure
  • Someone who takes pride in delivering truly personalised service
  • A team player with an eye for detail and a love for creating memorable moments

The details:

  • Salary: £31,136 per year + service charge (approx. £2,500 per year) — total package around £34,600
  • Clothing allowance paid monthly
  • Complimentary meals on duty
  • 40 hours per week, across a mix of early, mid, and late shifts (including weekends)
  • Full UK driving licence required (you’ll assist guests using estate vehicles)

Why you’ll love working here:

  • 30 days holiday (rising to 35 after 5 years)
  • A birthday lunch on us
  • Complimentary night stay and dinner for two — experience Foxhill like a guest
  • Mental health first aiders & wellbeing support
  • High Street discounts & cashback card
  • Estate-wide discounts on dining, stays, spa products & more
  • £1,000 to spend however you wish in our recognition programme
  • £1,000 when you refer a friend
  • Premium pay for Christmas & New Year shifts
  • Optional low-cost healthcare cash plan
  • Free financial planning advice
  • Fully funded apprenticeships
  • Career opportunities across our three award-winning hotels — Foxhill Manor, Dormy House & The Fish

We’re also a B-Corp certified business, which means we’re serious about people, purpose, and planet. We’re proud members of the Hoteliers’ Charter, committed to respect, fairness, equality, diversity, and opportunity — with wellbeing and career development at the heart of what we do. Due to our rural location (WR12 7LJ), your own transport will be needed — but once you arrive, you’ll see why guests and team members alike fall in love with this beautiful hillside. If you’re the kind of person who loves variety, thrives on connection, and takes pride in delivering effortless luxury, we’d love to hear from you. Come and be the heartbeat of Foxhill Manor.
