We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join the award-winning kitchen team at The Fish Hotel — one of Farncombe Estate’s most distinctive countryside hotels in the Cotswolds. Set within our stunning woodland estate, Hook at The Fish delivers quality, sustainable cooking in a relaxed yet professional environment. Working in a 2 AA Rosette kitchen, you’ll be part of a friendly, organised and supportive brigade, playing a vital role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to start or build a career in hospitality, learn from experienced chefs, and be part of a close-knit team in a beautiful setting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the kitchen team with pot wash and general cleaning duties
- Keeping kitchen areas clean, tidy and organised at all times
- Assisting with basic food prep where required
- Ensuring health, safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Supporting the smooth running of service during busy periods
- Working closely with chefs and front-of-house teams
Requirements:
- A strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
- A reliable, positive and team-focused attitude
- Good attention to cleanliness and organisation
- The ability to work evenings and weekends
- Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential
