The Role

Farnborough International is looking to strengthen its world class team by recruiting a Junior Event Manager, to work within our Venue team delivering events across our two purpose-built venues, Hall 1, a 20,000sqm exhibition and conference centre and Hall 5, a 3500sqm black canvas exclusive hire. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and growing team focused on providing the highest level of operational service to event organisers, exhibitors, contractors and stakeholders, and to implement the operational strategy. Taking ownership and responsibility for on-site related aspects and infrastructures ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, achievement of deadlines and strict budget control whilst striving for innovation with events held at Farnborough.

What We're Looking for:

  • Management experience in conference, banqueting, hospitality, or event management environments.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and diplomatic skills.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and assertive, with the ability to lead by example.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Customer-focused, innovative, and detail-oriented.
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Full driving licence required.
  • IOSH Managing Safely (preferable).
  • Familiarity with Momentous diary system, CAD, and Microsoft Office is a plus.

The Contract & Benefits:

  • Contract: Permanent, full-time role, 37.5 hours variable shift pattern.
  • Salary: £25,000 - 28,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Location: Hybrid working from Farnborough Office.
