The predicted salary is between 12000 - 15000 £ per year.
Purpose To be a part of a team to ensure the security, safety, care and wellbeing of children and to promote their social, emotional and physical development during lunch time.
Responsibilities
- Supervise children inside or outside of the school hall.
- Maintain vigilance in spaces where children are.
- Follow health and safety guidelines, pupil welfare and the security of children in accordance with the Behaviour Policy.
- Proactively support and facilitate play opportunities and quelling low-level upsets before they escape escalation.
- Supervise children whilst eating their lunch and assist in clearing away and tidying the hall.
- Appropriately deal with incidents of disorder, ensuring that any disruption is minimised in line with the school’s Behaviour Policy.
- Take appropriate independent action to minimise disruption.
- Offer comfort and support to children who are distressed by any situation.
- Assist in maintaining a calm and respectful atmosphere around the school site.
- Carry out tasks and duties as required by the Senior Lunchtime Supervisor and Lead Teacher, as appropriate to the role.
- Be prepared to undertake professional development and training.
Working Hours 12:00-13:00 Monday-Friday, Term-Time only. One inset day per year is required.
