University Centre Farnborough seeks lecturers to support post‑graduate trainee teachers and their school‑based mentors as they progress through their Initial Teacher Training year, leading to Qualified Teacher Status.
Responsibilities
- Support trainee teachers and school‑based mentors throughout the ITT year.
- Deliver subject‑specific content in Biology, English, Physics, Mathematics and Geography (or related subjects).
- Mentor trainee teachers and provide constructive feedback on teaching practice.
- Contribute to the development of ITT programmes and resources.
- Participate in professional development and collaborate with school leadership.
Qualifications
- Experienced secondary school teacher (11‑16) with subject expertise.
- Previous mentoring or leadership experience with trainee teachers.
- Experience running ITT programmes within a school is desirable.
- Knowledge of at least one of the following subjects: Biology, English, Physics, Mathematics, Geography.
- Ability to work part‑time with flexible hours across the academic year.
