Director of Finance and Corporate Services (DFCS) in Farnborough

Farnborough College of Technology (FCoT) is seeking an exceptional Director of Finance and Corporate Services (DFCS) to join its Senior Leadership Team at a pivotal point in the College's development. Now in the fourth year of its Sustainable Transformations Strategy (STS) 2032, FCoT is building on strong momentum and is seeking a senior leader with the credibility, capability, and experience to play a critical role in the next phase of its journey.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will bring a proven track record as a qualified accountant, combined with the strategic leadership skills required to oversee a broad corporate services portfolio, including Finance, Estates, and Technology.
• Experience within the Further Education sector, particularly an understanding of DfE funding and compliance mechanisms, is highly desirable; however, strong candidates from the wider public sector with the relevant knowledge and capability to perform effectively from day one will also be welcomed.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a qualified accountant.

Safeguarding and Compliance

Positions within the College will involve contact with young people and vulnerable adults. Post-holders will be obliged to demonstrate and maintain their suitability to work with young people and vulnerable adults. This will include a requirement to undertake an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, in addition to referencing and qualification checks.
