Working directly alongside an experienced and supportive Farm Manager, you'll gain hands‑on experience across livestock, arable, estate management and the wider commercial side of the business. The farm includes arable land, woodland, environmental areas and a growing livestock enterprise, offering genuine variety and responsibility from day one. The business regularly works alongside well known names within the agricultural sector, creating excellent opportunities to build your professional network and gain exposure to innovative farming practices, field trials and the latest developments in modern agriculture.
The Role
This is a genuine all‑rounder position where no two days are the same. Responsibilities will include:
- Livestock husbandry and grazing management
- Drilling, cultivations and harvest operations
- Grassland management
- Fencing and general farm and estate maintenance
- Operating and maintaining modern farm machinery
- Supporting environmental and regenerative farming initiatives
Alongside the practical work, you'll gain exposure to:
- Farm accounts and financial management
- Budgeting and business planning
- Grant applications and stewardship schemes
- Crop rotations and strategic decision‑making
- Estate management
- Soil health monitoring and regenerative agriculture
