An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Farm Manager to take responsibility for a large scale farming operation working closely with other team members of this diverse Estate. This is a hands-on, leadership role for someone who has a strong commercial and organizational capability, combined with a first class knowledge of crop and animal production.
The Role
- You will be responsible for delivering a profitable high quality operation together with maintaining the wider reputation of the estate, its environment and social responsibilities.
- You will work to budgets and farm plans and once agreed will implement them with your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for crop husbandry, production standards and cost control
- Sales and purchasing
- Oversee the livestock operation which consists of a suckler beef herd
- Produce annual budgets
- Oversight of machinery, buildings and contractors
- Record keeping, compliance with regulatory and assurance requirements
- Management of the state of the art grain storage and drying systems
- To be au fait with all grant opportunities ie SFI, Stewardship schemes etc

- An experienced Farm Manager with a strong background in arable and suckler beef production
- You must be technically confident and able to think laterally
- You must be organized, commercially minded
- You are a person who leads by example, sets high standards
- Environmentally and socially conscious
