Today, farmsaat is present in 12 European countries and offers a range of maize, soybean, sunflowers, grass & cover crops. The group has a turnover exceeding 60 million Euros, with over 550 farmpartners in its sales network.
We are seeking a UK Sales Agent to establish farmsaat in the UK maize market, with our first hybrid due to be UK National Listed in Spring 2026. You'll have the opportunity to drive market growth in seed supply and provide relevant agronomic advice to UK farmers, whilst being fully responsible for the UK market uptake of farmsaat.
Job Description
- Type: Self-Employed Sales Agent – Rolling Unlimited Contract based on performance
- Target Sector: UK Forage, Grain and Biogas Maize Growers
- Target Sales Region: South and Eastern UK (Kent / Surrey / Sussex / Berkshire / Oxfordshire / Bucks / Herts / Cambs / Suffolk / Norfolk / South Lincs)
- Location: Home Based with own transport to visit growers and promote, sell and establish farmsaat maize hybrids in the UK market
- Commission: This is a non-salaried self-employed role – the sales agent will earn a base commission with an uncapped sales payment for every seed unit sold
Your Profile
- Demonstrable knowledge of maize and field crops
- Existing grower network within the target region
- Strong commercial mindset and ability to retail seed products direct to farmers
- Self-manage and prioritise your own workload
- Interest and willingness to periodically visit farmsaat HQ in Germany and attend annual company meetings
- Proactive attitude & excellent communication skills
- Fluent in English, right to live and work in the UK
- Use of Microsoft Office for regular communication and transmission of sales orders
