The Farm:
- 400 Friesian/Jersey-cross cows
- Block-calving, grass-based dairy system
- Youngstock reared on farm
- Located between Dumfries and Thornhill
The Role:
- Working alongside the Farm Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering excellent animal health and welfare standards.
- Achieving key farm performance targets.
- Supporting and coordinating the relief team.
- Working with stakeholders and contractors.
- Making decisions around grassland management and grazing performance.
- Helping drive continuous improvement across the farm.
What We're Looking For:
- Have practical experience in grassland management.
- Have experience leading or supervising people.
- Enjoy working within a block-calving system.
- Be passionate about grass-based dairy farming.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Hold a foot-trimming qualification.
