Retail Assistant – Part Time

Hours: 20 hours across 4 days per week.
Pay: £10.10 – £12.31 per hour (dependent on age).

Job Overview

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Wednesfield, West Midlands. This is a permanent part‑time position with a variety of shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack, and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
• Work with the rest of your team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy: jump from deliveries to till, shop floor assistance, cleaning and stock rotation routines.
• Reliability: an important part of a small team; dependability is essential.
• Flexibility for shifts: ability to work slightly different hours when a teammate is on holiday; rots planned three weeks in advance and commitment outside work is considered.
