We are looking to recruit a full‑time Transport Supervisor at our distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire.
Pay, Working Hours & Benefits
- Hours are day shifts (6 am‑6 pm) or night shifts (6 pm‑6 am) on a 3 on 3 off basis.
- The successful candidate must also cover sick leave and holiday cover.
- Salary is £40,461.96 per annum.

Responsibilities
- Monitor all delivery runs, ensuring drivers deliver on time and communicate delays to stores.
- Plan loads for upcoming work, maximizing kit usage.
- Address performance issues and training needs.
- Liaise with the wider depot team to meet operational requirements.
- Issue progress updates to appropriate parties, providing details on kit usage and notify stores of timing changes.
- Maintain coaching and support for Transport Clerks.
- Provide a safe working environment by adhering to H&S procedures and ensuring the team’s compliance.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) and continuously achieve high customer focus and service levels.
Qualifications
- Friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- Experience working in a transport environment.
- Knowledge of UK geography and road network.
- Experience using a WMS.
- Track record of cost savings, productivity, quality control and error reduction.
- Excellent team building, leadership and motivational skills.
- Good communication skills, open and honest with the team.
- Flexibility to work various shift patterns in response to customer demand.
- HGV licence desirable but not essential.
