Responsibilities
- Support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great service to our customers.
- Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries worked quickly, and shop routines completed to maintain a safe, clean, tidy shop.
- Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants.
- Take responsibility for controlling operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
Qualifications
- A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- An approachable personality who builds strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Trustworthy and reliable, able to be a dependable member of a small team.
- Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is preferred, but we welcome those looking to start a retail management career.
- Completion of a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired.
About the Role
