Responsibilities

  • Support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great service to our customers.
  • Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries worked quickly, and shop routines completed to maintain a safe, clean, tidy shop.
  • Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants.
  • Take responsibility for controlling operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications

  • A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
  • An approachable personality who builds strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, able to be a dependable member of a small team.
  • Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is preferred, but we welcome those looking to start a retail management career.
  • Completion of a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired.

About the Role
