Retail Assistant - Full Time in Stretford

Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. This is a permanent 39‑hour full‑time position, working a variety of shifts across 5 days per week.

Key Details

• Hours: 39 hours across 5 days per week.
• Pay: £10.95 (ages 16‑20) – £12.81 (ages 21+).

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offer help to pack, and leave a good impression.
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy – juggling deliveries, till service, customer assistance, cleaning, and stock rotation.
• Reliability – dependable and not letting the team down.
• Flexibility with shifts, including covering for colleagues and working slightly different hours when needed.
