Retail Assistant - Part Time

Base pay range

Hours: 12 hours across 3 days per week

Responsibilities

• Make customers feel welcome with a friendly smile
• Help customers find items they need
• Provide fast, friendly service at the tills, offering packing assistance and courteous good‑byes
• Handle stock during deliveries, placing products into freezers and onto shelves promptly
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy

Qualifications

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach
• Enjoy being busy, shifting between deliveries, till service, floor assistance, cleaning, stock rotation and more
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to doing best on each shift
• Some flexibility in shift timing, with rota announced three weeks in advance

About the role

This is a permanent part‑time position based in Blantyre, South Lanarkshire. You will work a minimum of 12 hours over 3 days per week, including weekends.

Career prospects

Many staff start in retail and progress to Shop and Area Manager positions or central services roles within Farmfoods.
