Retail Assistant – Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Chorley, Lancashire. This is a permanent part‑time position working 16 hours across 3 days per week (minimum of 16 hours over 3 days each week, including weekends).

Hours & Pay

• Hours: 16 hours across 3 days per week.
• Pay: £10.10 – £12.31 per hour (ages 16‑20: £10.10, ages 21+: £12.31).

Responsibilities

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help with packing and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care during deliveries, placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for purchase.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy – jump between deliveries, till duties, customer service, cleaning and stock rotation.
• Reliable – you are an important part of a small team and your colleagues and customers depend on you to do your best on each shift.
• Some flexibility with shifts to cover holiday absences; rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and external commitments are considered.
