Shop Manager - Full Time
You will work 45 hours across 5 days per week, permanently full‑time. The position is based in Redditch, Worcestershire and involves managing a busy shop.
Hours & Pay
Hours: 45 hours / 5 days per week.
Pay: £39,889 - £48,343 per annum.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example and get involved in day‑to‑day shop operations.
- Motivate and inspire the team to run an efficient shop and provide great customer service.
- Recruit, induct, coach, mentor and develop your team, building a talent pipeline.
- Ensure customers are looked after, deliveries processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
- Control key shop costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll to achieve KPIs, reporting to the area manager.
- Meet standards in customer service, cash handling, health & safety, stock management, merchandising and presentation.
Requirements
- Friendly, positive and hardworking approach to work.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate people in a busy and challenging environment.
- People person able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Trustworthy and reliable; key member of a small team.
- Experience as a manager or assistant manager.
- Full driving licence desirable, but not mandatory if other criteria are met.
- Complete a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check.
