Responsibilities
- Support the manager and lead the team to run an efficient shop and provide great customer service
- Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries worked quickly and shop routines completed to maintain safety, cleanliness and tidiness
- Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants
- Control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll
Qualifications
- Friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work
- People person, builds strong working relationships with colleagues and customers
- Trustworthy and reliable, dependable within a small team
- Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is desirable but not essential
