We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. This is a permanent part‑time role, requiring a minimum of 24 hours per week, normally including some weekend work.

Responsibilities
- Support the manager as part of the management team, ensuring efficient shop operation and excellent customer service.
- Take full responsibility for running the shop when the manager is absent – looking after customers, processing deliveries, and maintaining a safe, clean, tidy shop.
- Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop a team of retail assistants.
- Control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
Qualifications & Experience
- Friendly, positive and hard‑working approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build working relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Trustworthy and reliable.
- Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industry preferred, but not essential.
- Willingness to complete an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check.
