Shop Manager – Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new shop manager for our shop in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. We offer a permanent full-time position working a variety of shifts, 5 days a week, with flexible availability including weekends.

The salary offered for this position ranges from £32,944.97 to £38,355.03 on a 45-hour contract. In addition to your pay you will also benefit from:

As one of our shop managers you will:

• Lead by example and get involved in the day-to-day tasks of running a busy shop.
• Motivate and inspire your team to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service.
• Recruit, induct and develop your team through coaching, mentoring and feedback, developing a pipeline of talent.
• Be fully accountable for the shop, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly, and shop routines maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment.
• Take responsibility for controlling key shop costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll to achieve all KPIs, reporting directly to your area manager.
• Meet standards in customer service, cash handling, health & safety, stock management, merchandising and presentation.

You will need:

• A friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work.
• Excellent leadership skills to motivate people in a busy environment.
• A people-person who easily builds strong working relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable, as you will be an important part of a small team relied upon by staff and customers.
• Experience as a manager or assistant manager.
• A full driving licence is desirable; if you lack a licence but meet all other criteria you can still apply.
