We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Thanet, Kent. This is a permanent 39-hour full-time position working a variety of shifts across five days a week. Note: Full-time positions require flexible availability throughout the week, including weekends.

Pay & benefits

  • Hourly pay: £13.61
  • Guaranteed minimum 39 hours per week (approx. £530 weekly)
  • Overtime may be available

Responsibilities

  • Important part of the management team, supporting the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great customer service
  • Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop
  • Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants
  • Take responsibility for the control of operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll

Qualifications

  • A friendly, positive, hard-working approach to work
  • Good people skills, easy to get on with everyone and build strong working relationships
  • Trustworthy and reliable; dependable for the team and customers
  • Previous experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar; if not, we welcome those looking to start a career
  • Will complete Employment Verification check and Basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if successful and offered the position

  • Contract: Full Time Small V (FTSV)
  • Hours: 39 hours per week
  • Days: 5 days per week
