We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop relocation in Leigh, Greater Manchester (WN7 1SH). This permanent part‑time position offers a variety of shifts, a minimum of 20 hours per week, and typically includes some weekend work. The hourly rate is £13.61, guaranteeing at least £272 per week. Overtime may be available.
Responsibilities
- Support the manager as part of the management team and lead the shop when the manager is absent.
- Ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
- Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
- Control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
Qualifications
- A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- Strong people skills – able to build relationships with staff and customers.
- Trustworthy, reliable and dependable as part of a small team.
- Some experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industry is desirable; however we welcome applicants ready to take the first step in retail management.
- Ability to complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired for this advertised position.
