Join to apply for the Shop Manager role at Farmfoods. We are looking to recruit a new shop manager for our new store opening in Aylestone, Leicestershire (postcode: LE2 8TB). This is a permanent, full‑time position working a variety of shifts, five days a week. Please note that for full‑time positions we will require you to be fully flexible in your availability for work throughout the week, including weekends.
Base pay: £32,944 – £38,355 per annum.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead by example and get involved in the day‑to‑day tasks of running a busy shop.
- Motivate and inspire your team to deliver efficient service and a great customer experience.
- Recruit, induct and develop your team, providing coaching, mentoring and feedback while building a pipeline of talent.
- Ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines maintain a safe, clean and tidy environment.
- Control key shop costs – shrinkage, waste and payroll – to hit KPIs, reporting to your area manager.
- Maintain high standards of customer service, cash handling, health & safety, stock management, merchandising and presentation.
Required skills and experience:
- A friendly, positive, hardworking approach.
- Excellent leadership skills in a busy, challenging environment.
- People oriented, good at building relationships with staff and customers.
- Trustworthy and reliable – essential to a small team.
- Experience as a shop manager or assistant manager.
- A full driving licence desirable; not required if other criteria are met.
