We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Page Moss, Liverpool. The position is permanent full time, working 5 days per week from 7:xx each week, usually including at least one weekend shift. Flexibility throughout the week, including weekends, is required.

Hours & Pay

  • Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week.
  • Pay: £31,449 – £32,648 per annum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide great customer service.
  • Develop your team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback.
  • Be accountable for the shop in the shop manager’s absence, ensuring customers are attended to, deliveries handled quickly and shop routines maintained safely, cleanly and tidily.
  • Motivate and guide the team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
  • Support recruitment and induction of new team members.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Friendly, positive, hard‑working approach.
  • People person who builds strong working relationships.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, able to be relied upon by the team and customers.
  • Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor.
  • Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) required before employment.
