We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Hemsworth, West Yorkshire. We offer a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours worked over 4 days from 7 working each week, including weekends.
Hours and Compensation
- Hours: 16 hours across 4 days per week.
- Pay: £10.95 – £12.81 per hour (dependent on age)

- Ages 16‑20: £10.95 per hour
- Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities
- Make all of our customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items that they are looking for.
- Give fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves.
- Work with the rest of your team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- To enjoy being busy with constant tasks such as deliveries, till work, customer help, cleaning and stock rotation.
- Reliability – you will be an important part of a small team, and your colleagues and customers will depend on you to do your best on each shift.
- Flexibility regarding shifts; when other members are on holiday we may need you to work slightly different hours. Rotas are planned three weeks in advance and your commitments outside of work will be taken into consideration.
