We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. We offer a permanent part time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 8 hours worked over 2 days from 7 each week, including weekends. Please note that this position will require you to be available for shifts on weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday. This position may not be suitable for you if you are not available to work at these times.
Hours and Pay
- Hours: 8 hours across 2 days per week.
- Pay: Ages 16‑20: £10.95 per hour; Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offer assistance with packing and leave a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care during deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves.
- Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.
Requirements
- A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- Enjoy being busy, handling deliveries, till work, helping customers, cleaning and stock rotation.
- Reliable; the team and customers depend on you to perform your best on each shift and not let the team down.
- Some flexibility with shifts; may need to cover for teammates when they are off or on holiday.
- Rotas are planned three weeks in advance.
- Complete an employment verification check if successful and offered the advertised position.
