We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Fareham, Hampshire. This is a permanent part‑time position with a variety of shifts, including weekends, requiring a minimum of 12 hours across 2 days per week.
Position Details
- Hours: 12 hours across 2 days per week.
- Pay: £10.10 – £12.31 per hour (depending on age)
- Pay structure:
- Ages 16‑20: £10.10 per hour
- Ages 21+: £12.31 per hour

Responsibilities
- Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves for customers.
- Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.

- Enjoy being busy – handle deliveries, tills, shop floor, cleaning and stock rotation routines.
- Reliable – a key part of a small team; dependable and high standard each shift.
- Flexible with shifts; willingness to cover for colleagues on holiday, rota planned 3 weeks in advance.
