Shop Manager in Dartford

Shop Manager – Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new shop manager for one of our shops in the Dartford Area. This permanent, full‑time position offers a variety of shifts (5 days a week) with full flexibility required throughout the week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and get involved with day‑to‑day tasks of running a busy shop
• Motivate and inspire your team to deliver efficient service and a great customer experience
• Recruit, induct and develop your team through coaching, mentoring and feedback; build a talent pipeline for the business
• Ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines keep the shop safe, clean and tidy
• Control key shop costs (shrinkage, waste, payroll) to meet KPIs, reporting directly to your area manager
• Maintain standards in customer service, cash handling, health & safety, stock management, merchandising and presentation

Qualifications & Requirements

• Friendly, positive and hardworking approach to work
• Excellent leadership skills to motivate people in a busy, challenging environment
• People‑oriented, easy to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers
• Trustworthy and reliable – you will be a key member of a small team that customers depend on
• Experience as a manager or assistant manager
• Full driving licence desirable; if not held, all other criteria must be met
