We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Colne, Lancashire. This is a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours worked over 3 days each week, including weekends. Please note that this position will require you to be available for shifts on weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday. This position may not be suitable if you are not available to work at these times.

Responsibilities

  • Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
  • Help customers find the items they are looking for
  • Deliver fast and friendly service at the tills, offer help to pack, and leave a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
  • Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy
  • Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy

  • Enjoy being busy with varied tasks such as deliveries, till service, shop‑floor assistance, cleaning and stock rotation
  • Reliable and an important part of a small team, always performing at your best on each shift
  • A bit of flexibility with shifts, including covering for others when needed
