Retail Assistant – Part Time, Evenings & Weekends
Hours: 12 hours across 3 days per week. Pay: £10.95 – £12.81 per hour (based on age: 16‑20 = £10.95, 21+ = £12.81). Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Responsibilities
- Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Provide fast, friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock carefully while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and on shelves for customers to buy.
- Work with the rest of the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.
Requirements
- A friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work.
- Enjoy being busy with a variety of tasks—delivering, serving on the till, helping customers on the shop floor, cleaning and stock rotation.
- Reliable and dependable, as an important part of a small team.
- Flexible with shifts; able to cover for teammates and work slightly different hours when required.
Rotas are planned three weeks in advance and personal commitments are considered.
- Available for weekday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday.
