The predicted salary is between 28 - 32 £ per hour.
We are looking to recruit warehouse operatives who will be responsible for picking orders for our shops at our distribution centre in Avonmouth, Bristol.
We offer a permanent full time position and have a variety of shift patterns available working 5 days from 7 each week, including at least one weekend day. We may also have some part time work available. This vacancy is going to be working in our frozen/chiller environment with temperatures between -18 to -25.
Shift patterns
- Day shift - From 06:00 to 14:00
- Late shift - From 14:00 to 22:00
- Night shift - From 22:00 to 06:00
Pay, hours and benefits
- Pay: £14.49 per hour for day shifts and £16.91 per hour for afternoon, late and night shifts.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week minimum for full-time positions, with overtime regularly available.
- Benefits: 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, staff benefits package, free canteen facilities, smart uniform and PPE provided, free life assurance, workplace pension, and other staff benefits including a virtual GP and discounts.
We offer 30 days annual leave and regular breaks during your shift (plus additional warming breaks when picking in the cold store).
As one of our warehouse operatives you will
- Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets ready for delivery to shops.
- Keep accurate records.
- Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse.
- Work within the health and safety requirements of the site.
Most operatives start with us picking orders; there may be opportunities beyond this to work in goods in and loading operations.
You will need
- To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (due to Health and Safety reasons).
- To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.
- A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
- Although it is not essential, if you have experience of working in a warehouse environment or with manual handling equipment then let us know about it in your application.
