Shop Manager – Full Time
We are looking to recruit a new shop manager for our shop in Bridgwater, Somerset. This is a permanent full‑time position working a variety of shifts over 5 days a week.

Responsibilities
- Lead by example and get involved in day‑to‑day operations of a busy shop.
- Motivate and inspire your team to run an efficient shop and provide outstanding customer service.
- Recruit, induct and develop the team through coaching, mentoring and feedback, building a pipeline of talent.
- Ensure customers are attended to, deliveries processed quickly and shop routines are maintained in a safe, clean and tidy environment.
- Control key shop costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll, to achieve all KPIs; report directly to your area manager.
- Meet standards in customer service, cash handling, health & safety, stock management, merchandising and presentation.
Qualifications
- Friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work.
- Excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate staff in a busy, challenging environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to build good relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Trustworthy and reliable, fully integral to a small team.
- Experience as a manager or assistant manager.
- Full driving licence desirable; applicants without a licence may still apply if they meet all other criteria.
- Pass a basic DBS (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check as a condition of employment.
