Retail Supervisor – Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Bolsover, Derbyshire.

  • Job Details
  • Hours: 39 hours across 5 days per week.
  • Pay: £13.61 per hour (minimum 39 hours per week).
  • Holiday: 30 days per year.
  • Staff discount: 15% on goods.

Responsibilities

  • Support the shop manager and lead the team to run an efficient shop and provide great customer service.
  • Run the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop.
  • Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders, and develop a team of retail assistants.
  • Control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications

  • A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
  • A people person who can build strong working relationships.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, being an important part of a small team.
  • Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is desirable but not required.
  • Completion of a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if hired.
