We are seeking a new retail supervisor for our shop in Banbury, Oxfordshire. The position is a permanent full‑time role (39 hours per week, 5 days). Applicants must be fully flexible in availability, including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Support the store manager as part of the management team, leading the shop efficiently and providing great customer service.
  • Take full responsibility for the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are handled efficiently, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy environment.
  • Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop the team of retail assistants.
  • Take responsibility for controlling operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
  • People‑oriented; able to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, capable of being a key part of a small team.
  • Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or a similar industry is desirable but not mandatory; we welcome candidates starting their retail management career.
  • Successful completion of a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland).
