We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. This is a permanent full‑time position on a 43‑hour contract, working five days a week, usually including at least one weekend shift. Flexible availability throughout the week – including weekends – is required.

Pay & Benefits

  • Annual salary: £30,240 – £31,392 per annum

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to our customers.
  • Coach, mentor and give feedback to retail assistants to develop their team.
  • Accountable for the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries processed quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, tidy shop.
  • Motivate and guide the team to control operational costs, including shrinkage, waste and payroll.
  • Support recruitment, induction and support of new team members.
