We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in George St, Worcester. This is a permanent 39 hour full time position working a variety of shifts, 5 days from 7 each week. Please note that for full time positions we will generally require you to be fully flexible in your availability for work throughout the week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Essential part of the management team; support the manager to run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers.
  • Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, tidy shop.
  • Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
  • Take responsibility for controlling operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications

  • A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
  • A people person who builds strong working relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Trustworthy and reliable, dependable in a small team.
  • Prior experience as supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is an advantage; we also welcome candidates looking to start their retail management career.
