We are looking to recruit warehouse operatives who will be responsible for picking orders for our shops at our distribution centre in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire.

Shift patterns

We are offering a permanent part-time Weekends position (working Saturdays and Sundays each week, with some Friday work may also be available).

Available shifts:

  • Day Shifts - 06:00 – 14:00 or 08:00 – 16:00
  • Lates – 14:00 – 22:00
  • Nights – 22:00 – 06:00

These positions will be trained to work both the Dry and the Frozen warehouse. Note: positions in the frozen environment will be working in temperatures between -18 and -25 degrees. Full PPE and additional regular warming breaks provided.

Pay, hours & benefits

We offer an hourly pay rate of £14.28 (£11.88 if you are under 21). This is a permanent position with the opportunity of overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets ready for delivery to shops
  • Keep accurate records
  • Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse
  • Work within the health and safety requirements of the site

Most warehouse operatives start with us picking orders; there may also be opportunities to work in goods in and loading operations.

Requirements

  • To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets
  • A friendly, positive, hardworking approach
  • Although not essential, if you have experience of working in a warehouse environment or with manual handling equipment, please mention it in your application
