We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our new shop relocation in St Mary's Gate Retail Park in Rochdale (OL12 0TY).
Position: FTRA, Permanent full time, 39 hours per week (5 days, 7 hours per shift).
Work Hours & Pay:
- 39 hours per week across 5 days (Monday to Friday).
- Fully flexible availability required, including weekends.
- Pay: £10.10 per hour for ages 16‑20, £12.31 per hour for ages 21+.

Responsibilities:
- Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy.
- Work with the team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.
Qualifications & Expectations:
- A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- Enjoy being busy; you will jump from deliveries to till service to cleaning and stock rotation.
- Reliable; key part of a small team that customers and colleagues depend on.
- A bit of flexibility with shifts. When team members are on holiday, you may need to cover slightly different hours.
- Rotas are planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside of work are considered.
