Retail Assistant – Part Time
Hours: 12 hours across 3 days per week.
Pay: £10.95–£12.81 per hour.

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Hawick, Scottish Borders. This permanent part‑time position offers a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 12 hours worked over 3 days from Monday to Friday, including weekends.
Pay & benefits
The amount depends on your age:
- Ages 16‑20: £10.95 per hour
- Ages 21+: £12.81 per hour

Responsibilities
- Make customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offer help to pack and leave a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves.
- Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy.
Qualifications
- A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- Enjoy being busy and capable of shifting between tasks such as deliveries, till, shop floor and cleaning.
- Reliability – a key team member who supports colleagues and customers.
- Flexibility in shifts; able to cover for teammates as needed.
- Completion of an Employment Verification check if successful and offered.
