Multiple Part Time Retail Assistant Positions Available! We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Oban, Argyll and Bute. We can offer a range of part time contracts with a variety of different shift patterns available. Please note the following before applying to make sure that these opportunities are right for you:
- All positions will involve some weekend work.

- Pay depends on age: £10.95 per hour for ages 16-20, £12.81 per hour for ages 21+.
- 6 weeks holiday each year.

As a Retail Assistant you will:
- Make customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Give fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack, and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for purchase.
- Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep shops safe, clean, and tidy.
You will need:
- A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- Comfort with being busy and juggling multiple tasks such as deliveries, till service, customer assistance, cleaning, and stock rotation.
- Reliability, performing your best on each shift and not letting the team down.
- Flexibility with shifts; rota planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside work considered.
- Completion of an Employment Verification check if selected for the advertised position.
