Overview

Assistant Manager – Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Mexborough, South Yorkshire. This is a permanent full-time position with a variety of shifts across 5 days per week, usually including at least one weekend shift.

Hours and pay

  • Hours: 43 hours across 5 days per week
  • Pay: £30,240 - £33,948.94 per annum
  • Benefits: 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, staff benefits package, and more

Note on availability: For full-time positions we generally require you to be fully flexible in your availability across the week, including weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and provide a great service to customers
  • Develop the team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback
  • Be accountable for the shop in the absence of the shop manager; ensure customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly, and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop
  • Motivate and guide the team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste, and payroll
  • Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members
