We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Openshaw, Greater Manchester. We offer a permanent part‑time position with a minimum of 16 hours worked over 4 days per week, with shifts from 7 pm each weekday and all day on Saturday and Sunday. This position may not be suitable if you cannot work during these hours.
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly rate: £10.10 for ages 16‑20, £12.31 for ages 21 and over.

Responsibilities
- Make all of our customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Deliver fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for customers.
- Work with the rest of your team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean and tidy.
Requirements
- A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
- Enjoy being busy – you’ll juggle deliveries, till service, shop floor assistance, cleaning and stock rotation.
- Reliability – you are an important part of a small team and must do your best on each shift without letting the team down.
- Some flexibility with shifts – rota’s are planned three weeks in advance and commitments outside of work are taken into consideration.
