Location: Leigh (WN7 1SH). Permanent full-time, 35 hours per week, 5 days a week. Salary: £13.61 per hour (minimum £476 per week).

What does the apprenticeship involve?
- Working in a busy shop and learning how to be a great supervisor.
- Regular pre-arranged visits (every 10‑12 weeks) from an assessor.
- Regular reviews via webinar, telephone and video call.
- Completion of apprenticeship coursework, functional skills in English and Maths (if required).
- Assessment at the end of the 12‑month training.
Pay, working hours and benefits
You will earn £13.61 per hour from day one and are guaranteed 35 hours per week. In addition, you will benefit from a Customer Service Specialist level 3 apprenticeship qualification, paid time to complete your coursework, great training and support, opportunities for career progression, and a staff benefits package including a virtual GP, discounted services and products such as cinema tickets, gym memberships, days out and travel.
As one of our supervisor apprentices you will:
- Make all of our customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
- Help customers find the items they are looking for.
- Give a fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
- Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for our customers to buy.
- Work with the rest of your team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep our shops clean and tidy.
- Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and support your manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great service to our customers.
You will need:
- A friendly, positive, hardworking approach to work.
- Enjoy being busy; you will jump from putting out deliveries to serving on the till, helping customers on the shop floor, organising other team members, and more.
- Be reliable as you will be an important part of a small team.
- Participate in the apprenticeship provider’s work and complete all set tasks on time.
- Have a bit of flexibility in your shifts for coverage.
- Complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland).
